How We Help

The Regimental Trust was established on 2 April 1992 prior to the drawdown of the Brigade of Gurkhas and their final withdrawal from Hong Kong in 1997.

The QOGLR Trust is a registered charity for the good and benefit of both serving and retired Gurkha soldiers and their dependants. The Trust has affiliations and supports the Gurkha Welfare Trust and other worthy causes. There are many calls on the charity and some notable contributions made in recent years include:

  • Support to a wife of a soldier invalided out of service to complete here nursing training.
  • Grant for a Memorial at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
  • Grant towards a Gurkha Memorial at the National Arboretum in Lichfield.
  • Financial support to the maintenance of the Temple and Gumba.

Support

The Trust thanks all its supporters for their generosity of spirit for this worthy cause. The Trust exists to serve all aspects of the QOGLR Family and it’s activities
